Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim is situated on a ridge at an elevation of about 5500 feet. The best time to chiil out in the street is in the evening. Cool bridge of winds with pleasant weather refreshes your mind from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sikkim’s carnival takes place with various people participating making it a grand event of the state. Tiny dotted shops are inclined around the street that has some finest and high fashion clothes. Also, you find shops of artifacts and antiques from where no one goes empty handed.
Overview of Gangtok Gangtok is an ideal place for nature lovers, the panoramic mountain views from the view point will leave you dumbstruck. When in Gangtok take a ferry ride on the bi-cable ropeway or visit the Tashiling Secretariat to take a walk on the ridge park and get the glimpse of the valley below it. You cannot return without visiting the Ganesh and Hanuman Tok located few kilometers away from the main town of Gangtok. The best time to visit Gangtok is during November to March. During this time, the Sikkim cultural and flower festivals take place.
